Lord Krishna Temple - Melaseval - Child Boon Temple near Tirunelveli 

 MelaSeval is a small and beautiful temple near Tirunelveli. Salagrama Krishnan Vigraham as Moolavar holding Butter (Navaneetham) On both his hands is so cute. He is flanked by Mahalakshmi and Poo Devi on separate shrines within the main temple

 There is also a Urchavar of Navaneetha Krishnan with the same cute posture. He is taken to the swing (oonjal) and devotees offer their prayer by placating the lord in oonjal. Couples longing for child boon worship here and take Navaneetham (Butter) as a prasadam.

The lord is a varaprasadhi The walls of the Temple have sculptures devoted to the puranic period It’s believed that the temple is close to 3,000 years old (though some claim it’s definitely 1500 by the sculptures and records)
